Crawling out of the woodwork.

What a surprise. A new player in the saga of the Gamboa Estate Settlement. A long letter to the Estate Lawyer from a nephew who is supposedly a brilliant lawyer. I doubt the sincerity of his letter. If Bobby dela Fuente is sincere, he would have acted a lot earlier on the issues he just now bitches about.

So, Bobby dela Fuente, wouldn't it make more sense, if you encourage your tito Nonoy to come out clean and clear up the issue regarding the PNB accounts that Portugal says are solely in Manuel Gamboa's name? Or, perhaps inquire about the status of the replacement application of the lost Mitsubishi registration certificate? Instead of showing interest in clearing up issues to bring out the truth you come out complaining about how minimal the dela Fuente's share of the inheritance money may be. In addition, you complain about your "abuloy," how come you gave and others did not? Wow, you show real class there. If Ateng were alive to see how well you conduct yourself, she would really be proud?

Liwayway, I know you are behind all this. The dela Fuente's owe you many favors and this is pay back. Liwayway, why not channel your energy in straightening out your past transgressions instead of expending it on spiteful endeavors? Remember Mamang's coffee table thingy? Why not work on that.

Just in case you are wondering, the minority group Bobby dele Fuente he refers to in his note below is me. The Majority, the dela Fuentes declare they belong to, now comprise of three lawyers, millions of dollars in potential financing from Liwayway and that Oboyle money she married into and, top in the pecking order, a proven malicious liar.

The majority just refuse understand that the only thing that will get this settlement moving is to come out clean.

It's not the money. It's about Honesty!

I understand that the significant majority of the heirs want to settle my grandmother's estate pursuant to the terms you outlined. In the interests of concluding this matter as soon as possible, with the intent of avoiding incurring additional, unnecessary attorney's fees, please let me know if the heirs in agreement can pay off the the shares of the car and any other disputed items to those who object, and be reimbursed once the car is sold and any other pertinent matters are settled. The 1/6 share of the SUV is minimal and it may be worth it to the majority of the heirs to be done with this issue and settle the estate, with reimbursement to us coming after the sale of the SUV and the reconciliation of any other outstanding matters. This will not be a lot of money and if we can prevent letting this hold up concluding this matter, let's find a solution. Similarly, the bank account is not substantial enough to warrant any more effort, expense or thought. Indeed, any additional, unnecessary time spent on this issue on your part may wipe out the value of the account.

Please let us know an estimate of your fees should this matter be unnecessarily extended. I understand that you reading every email and spending even one additional, unnecessary minute on this matter can and should result in a valid charge to us. As you know, this estate is not large and it is essential to keep this in mind. I am certain that most of us do not want the balance of the estate to be spent on attorney's fees, and I am also certain that while most of us have happily contributed substantial funds, we have already contributed more than enough additional funds outside of the estate towards your fees and other expenses. I know that you are sensitive to the economic realities of this matter and very much appreciate all of your efforts. Please advise as to each heir's share for estimated additional legal fees resulting from a prolonged effort at your earliest convenience, and please advise as to each heir's responsibility for payment of those fees if the additional fees are solely the result of a minority group's position on the settling of the estate. The majority's share of the estate should not be diminished when most of us are ready to conclude this matter immediately.

On behalf of Elena de la Fuente's heirs, I am prepared to forward you the executed documents per your most recent recommendation and will do so, hoping that you have options we can pursue to conclude this matter immediately.

Best regards,
Bob de la Fuente
